Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar inaugurated 48 newly constructed Type‑III family quarters at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) campus in Ibrahimpatnam, Hyderabad. The release notes that 10,029 SSB housing units have been completed and 1,273 are under construction, reflecting the Modi government’s focus on improving residential facilities and the Housing Satisfaction Ratio for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). It reiterates SSB’s mandate to secure the 2,450‑km open borders with Nepal and Bhutan and highlights its 2025‑26 achievements of rescuing 661 human‑trafficking victims and arresting 6,324 offenders. The force is also modernising border management with drones, CCTV, thermal imagers, night‑vision equipment, GPS‑based patrolling and GIS‑based planning.
