Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Lead ‘Sapt Dhara of Shakti’ Pledge at Pusa on August 18

Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will administer the ‘Sapt Dhara of Shakti’ pledge at the Pusa campus on 18 August, translating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence‑Day vision into an actionable roadmap for agriculture and rural development. The meeting will review departmental roadmaps, expand the Lakhpati Didi programme (targeting six crore rural women) and address farmer‑centred initiatives such as subsidised fertiliser, food‑processing promotion and market access for women‑led enterprises like She‑Marts. The pledge aims to ensure direct benefits for farmers and rural women toward a ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
