Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh Emphasises early diagnosis, timely medical intervention and avoidance of unnecessary investigations as the basis of responsible patient care

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, launched the book “Rheumatology Essentials: A New Frontier for Aspiring Clinicians” and advocated a three‑pronged approach—early diagnosis, avoidance of unnecessary investigations, and timely referral—to improve clinical management of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. He emphasized that clinical judgement should guide the use of advanced investigations, highlighted the need for quality medical literature in Hindi and other Indian languages, and underscored the importance of specialised training programmes (DM, DNB, fellowships) to expand rheumatology expertise in India.
