Suryapath Tiranga: India’s Tricolour Completes a Historic Global Relay Across Continents, Following the Path of the Rising Sun

The Ministry of Culture’s press release details the first edition of the Suryapath Tiranga global relay, a component of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 programme. Starting from Suva, Fiji at 1:30 AM IST, the Indian flag was hoisted sequentially at 54 diplomatic missions and posts across five continents, concluding in San Francisco at 8:30 PM IST. The relay spanned more than 19 hours, linking locations from the Pacific to the Americas, and featured mass singing of Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana at each stop, highlighting diaspora participation and India’s global presence.
