Libraries under the Ministry of Culture, Asiatic Society Kolkata and The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIS) Kolkata celebrate 80th Independence Day 2026 with patriotic zeal

The Ministry of Culture's library network, including the National Library, Delhi Public Library, Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, Central Reference Library, Central Secretariat Library, Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Rampur Raza Library, Asiatic Society Kolkata and MAKAIS Kolkata, marked the 80th Independence Day (15 August 2026) with flag hoisting, patriotic songs, exhibitions, lectures, Tiranga Yatra, selfie booths and other programmes that highlighted the freedom struggle and national integration.
