Akademies under the Ministry of Culture Mark 80th Independence Day with Nationwide Cultural Programmes under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and 150 Years of Vande Mataram

The Ministry of Culture’s academies marked the 80th Independence Day and the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram through the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Activities spanned flag‑hoisting, Tiranga rallies, mass singing of Vande Mataram, theatre, music, art workshops, wall‑painting, clay‑modelling and traditional crafts across the National School of Drama, Sahitya Akademi, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Lalit Kala Akademi and their regional centres. Over 1,500 participants attended rallies in Delhi and Kolkata, while more than 250 NSD members uploaded selfies for the ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ initiative. The programmes aimed to foster patriotism, unity in diversity and cultural heritage among students, artists and the public.
