Goa, August 15:

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Defence Public Sector Undertaking, marked the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026, unfurling the national flag and holding a Guard of Honour. Chairman and Managing Director Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay highlighted innovation, technological excellence, youth participation and the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. He announced GSL’s recent elevation to Schedule ‘A’ CPSE status and urged focus on research, indigenisation, IP creation, digital transformation and productivity. The event referenced Maritime India Vision 2030, Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, and promoted environmental stewardship and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
