Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India launches RSVC-AMRIT platform developed by NABARD to strengthen rural innovation and technology transfer

On 15 August 2025, the Principal Scientific Adviser, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, launched the RSVC‑AMRIT platform, a digital ecosystem developed by NABARD in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (OPSA). AMRIT serves as the digital backbone of the RuTAGe Smart Village Centre (RSVC) initiative, linking innovators, technology providers, startups, validators, accelerators, implementation partners, funding agencies, academic institutions and rural communities. The platform aims to streamline technology discovery, validation, deployment tracking and knowledge management, thereby accelerating the transfer of appropriate and affordable technologies to villages across sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, education, water‑sanitation and citizen services. NABARD’s scheme will establish RSVCs with corporate CSR support, with NABFOUNDATION acting as implementation partner, and envisions a national repository of rural innovations under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
