SURYAPATH TIRANGA Global Relay Goes Live, following the path of the Rising Sun

The Ministry of Culture’s ‘SURYAPATH TIRANGA Global Relay’ was launched on 15 August 2026, coinciding with Independence Day. From 1:30 AM to 10:30 AM IST, the national flag was hoisted sequentially at 21 Indian missions and posts across 21 countries, starting in Suva, Fiji and ending in Doha, Qatar, tracing the path of the rising sun across time zones. The relay is part of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 celebrations and is presented as a symbolic display of India’s unity, patriotism and global presence, with missions acting as ambassadors of the national spirit.
