Western Railway Commemorates 80th Independence Day with Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Headquarters

On 15 August 2026, Western Railway marked the 80th Independence Day at its headquarters in Churchgate, Mumbai. General Manager Shri Ramashray Pandey hoisted the national flag, inspected the RPF parade and addressed railway staff, highlighting recent achievements of Western Railway and urging continued service to the nation. The ceremony was attended by senior officials including IG‑cum‑Principal Chief Security Commissioner Shri Ajoy Sadany and President of the Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (WRWWO) Smt Sujata Pandey. WRWWO members donated utility items such as chairs, tables, water purifiers, wheelchairs and refrigerators to the Jagjivan Ram Hospital’s T‑55 building for railway employees undergoing treatment.
