STRENGTHENING PM-JANMAN for PVTGs

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, informed the Lok Sabha that the Prime Minister launched the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM‑JANMAN) for the socio‑economic development of 75 PVTG communities across 18 states and one Union Territory. The mission targets basic amenities such as safe housing, clean drinking water, education, health, nutrition, road and telecom connectivity, electrification of unelectrified households and sustainable livelihood opportunities, through 11 interventions implemented by nine line ministries. Annex I provides state‑wise data (as of 30 June 2026) on houses sanctioned/completed, roads, villages, AWCs, and other sector‑specific interventions, illustrating the programme’s implementation status.
