RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS AND STAFF IN EMRSs

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs reported that no representations have been received to change the centralized recruitment of teachers and staff for Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs). The government has sanctioned 31 teaching and 21 non‑teaching posts per EMRS (full strength 480 students), with 13 of the non‑teaching posts earmarked for outsourcing to promote local employment. Recruitment is conducted through the EMRS Staff Selection Examination (ESSE); 9,111 teaching and non‑teaching staff have already been recruited and examinations have been held for another batch of 7,267 candidates. Recruits receive training on tribal culture, improving tribal student standards, and regional languages, and must meet regional language competency during probation.
