Reservation for Limboo and Tamang Scheduled Tribes

Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed the Lok Sabha that the reservation of seats for Limboo and Tamang Scheduled Tribes in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly is currently sub judice before the Supreme Court of India (SLP (Civil) No. 26490/2023, Sikkim Gorkha Jagran Sangh vs. Union of India & Ors.). Consequently, under Rule 41(2)(xviii) of the Lok Sabha Rules of Procedure, a question on this matter cannot be entertained in the House.
