FUNCTIONAL EMRSs

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, informed Parliament that, as of 13 August 2026, 508 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) are functional nationwide. A state‑wise table lists the number of functional EMRSs, ranging from 1 in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu to 75 in Chhattisgarh, with Odisha having 47 functional out of 114 sanctioned schools. The annexure accompanying the reply to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question 4345 provides the detailed breakdown. No functional EMRSs are reported in Ladakh (‑).
