Fourth Session of the India-Namibia Joint Trade Committee held in New Delhi
The Fourth Session of the India‑Namibia Joint Trade Committee was held in New Delhi on 10‑11 August 2026. Bilateral merchandise trade increased to US$ 592.94 million in 2025‑26, with India exporting US$ 349.09 million and importing US$ 243.85 million. Key outcomes included the designation of Invest India and Namibia’s Investment Promotion and Development Board as investment focal points, the creation of a Services Working Group (to meet by Feb 2027), and the launch of a Health‑pharma Working Group (by Dec 2026). Cooperation was highlighted in engineering, pharmaceuticals, critical minerals (lithium, graphite, copper, cobalt, rare earths), digital payments (India’s UPI‑based “WayaMe”), and energy infrastructure. The next session is slated for Namibia in 2028.
