ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW AYUSH MEDICAL COLLEGES IN THE COUNTRY

The Union Minister of State (I/C) for AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, informed the Rajya Sabha that under the centrally‑sponsored National AYUSH Mission (NAM), states can receive financial assistance for setting up new AYUSH colleges where government‑sector capacity is inadequate. Odisha has been approved for one such institution – Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Mayurbhanj – for FY 2025‑26. The announcement includes Annexure‑I, listing AYUSH institutions approved under NAM from 2014‑15 to 2026‑27 across various states and Union territories, illustrating the ongoing expansion of AYUSH education under the central scheme.
