Conferment of Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship (Akademi Ratna) & Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards (Akademi Puraskar) for the years 2024 and 2025

The Hon’ble President of India will confer the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowships (Akademi Ratna) and Awards (Akademi Puraskar) for the years 2024 and 2025 to 115 artists in a special investiture ceremony on Thursday, 13 August 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The ceremony will be attended by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister for Culture and Tourism; Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State for Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation and Culture; Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture; and Dr. Sandhya Purecha, Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi. The awardees represent all States and Union Territories and cover music, dance, drama, folk, tribal, puppetry and allied theatre arts. The Fellowship carries a purse of Rs. 3,00,000 and the Award Rs. 1,00,000, along with a Tamrapatra and Angavastram.
