Implementation of National Education Policy in HEIs

The Ministry of Education outlined the implementation of NEP 2020 across school and higher education. In schools, initiatives such as PM SHRI, Samagra Shiksha, NIPUN Bharat, Vidya‑Pravesh, PM e‑VIDYA, NDEAR, and the New India Literacy Programme are being pursued, with digital infrastructure support (ICT labs, smart classrooms) funded through Samagra Shiksha and platforms like DIKSHA and PM e‑Vidya. In higher education, reforms include the National Credit Framework, NHEQF, Curriculum and Credit Framework, multiple entry‑exit options, APAAR ID, PM‑Vidyalaxmi, SWAYAM Plus, SAMARTH, and guidelines for Professor‑of‑Practice and foreign collaborations. Skill integration is emphasized via NHEQF, ABC, AEDP, AICTE initiatives, NATS, and MSDE schemes (PMKVY, NAPS). The government also announced broadband for rural secondary schools (BharatNet) and the BBPS to provide digital books in 22 Indian languages.
