From Financial Constraints to Educational Aspirations: How Scholarship Support Helped Anu Priya Pursue Her B.Tech Education

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment highlighted the case of Anu Priya, a 20-year‑old OBC student pursuing a B.Tech. (II Year). Coming from a rural, financially weaker family with an annual income of ₹99,000 (now ₹1,20,000), she faced difficulties covering tuition, books, travel and other study‑related costs. Through the NSP scholarship, she received financial assistance of ₹7,50,000 for the period 2024–2026, which helped meet her educational expenses, reduce her family's financial burden, and enable her to focus on studies and career goals. The story underscores how targeted scholarship support can aid students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
