Invitation of nominations for National Gopal Ratna Award -2026

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, through its Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, has invited nominations for the National Gopal Ratna Award (NGRA) 2026. Under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (launched Dec 2014), the award recognises dairy farmers, dairy cooperatives/MPCs/FPOs and Artificial Insemination Technicians (AITs) for work with indigenous cattle/buffalo breeds. Awards will be given in three ranks (₹5 lakh, ₹3 lakh, ₹2 lakh) and a special award for the North‑Eastern Region/Himalayan States for the first two categories; the AIT category receives only a certificate and memento. Nominations are to be submitted online via https://awards.gov.in from 10 Aug 2026 to 10 Sep 2026, with the ceremony slated for National Milk Day (26 Nov 2026).
