Union Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi to Participate in the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Meeting in Bhubaneswar Tomorrow

Union Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi will attend the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Meeting in Bhubaneswar on 7 August 2026. The meeting will focus on priorities such as Early Childhood Care and Education, skill development, research and innovation, mutual recognition of qualifications and academic leadership. It follows the 3rd BRICS Senior Education Officials Meeting held on 5 August 2026, where senior officials from Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Iran, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates reviewed a draft BRICS Education Ministers’ Declaration and worked towards consensus on key elements. The discussions emphasized strengthening institutional mechanisms, academic collaborations, best‑practice exchange and capacity‑building among BRICS nations.
