Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 Gains further Momentum:

The Government of India has released a total of ₹6,154.96 crore for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0 in FY 2026‑27, comprising ₹5,289.09 crore as central share to 10 states and ₹865.87 crore through the SNA SPARSH platform to 13 states. JJM 2.0, approved on 10 March 2026, extends the mission to December 2028 with an overall outlay of ₹8.69 lakh crore, focusing on assured service delivery, digital governance, and community ownership. Key reforms include scheme‑based payments via SNA SPARSH, handover of schemes to Gram Panchayats (Jal Arpan), creation of Sujalam Bharat IDs, geo‑tagging on the PM Gati Shakti platform, and Jal Seva Aankalan assessments. Union Minister C.R. Patil is conducting state‑specific interactions with MPs to review progress and address constituency issues.
