Weavers' Service Centre, Nagpur to Celebrate 12th National Handloom Day on August 7

The Weavers' Service Centre (WSC) in Nagpur, under the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, will observe the 12th National Handloom Day on 7 August 2026 at the Common Workshed of Dhapewada Textile Udyog Producer Company Ltd. The event, commencing at 10:30 AM, will host over 300 handloom weavers, producer‑organisation representatives, educators and local‑body officials. It will include awareness sessions on government schemes such as Hathkargha Samvardhan Sahayata, Common Workshed Scheme, Design Development, Cluster Development, Marketing Initiatives, Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, India Handloom Brand and Raw Material Supply Scheme, an exhibition of handloom products, a live Karvat Kathi weaving demo, and felicitation of outstanding weavers and artisans.
