A novel blueprint for efficiently connecting quantum networks

A study by researchers from Bose Institute, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, proposes a new protocol called General Concurrence Percolation (GCP) for quantum networks. GCP uses a geometric routing approach to amplify entanglement along the shortest paths, avoiding the need to disconnect intermediate stations. Computer simulations show that GCP lowers the minimum entanglement threshold required for long‑distance quantum communication and conforms to the percolation universality class, strengthening the theoretical basis of quantum entanglement percolation.
