“DBT in Implementation of Scholarship Schemes for Tribals”

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is using the DBT Tribal Portal to capture beneficiary data from States/UTs for pre‑matric and post‑matric scholarship schemes. The portal enables end‑to‑end digitisation, a common data standard, online upload of utilisation certificates and expenditure statements, and links to the Performance Dashboard of the Ministry, DBT Mission, Prayas Dashboard and NITI Aayog. Integration with the National Scholarship Portal allows data validation and automated deduplication. Under the SNA SPARSH model, central‑share funds are released ‘just‑in‑time’ directly to students’ bank accounts, eliminating float at the state level. The portal’s data support monitoring, MIS reporting and transparency of fund flow.
