Integration of Ayush Services into Ayushman Arogya Mandir

Under the centrally‑sponsored National Ayush Mission (NAM), 12,500 existing AYUSH dispensaries and sub‑health centres have been upgraded to Ayush Health & Wellness Centres, now called Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM‑Ayush). The upgrade, approved on the basis of State/UT Annual Action Plans, provides a holistic wellness model that includes Yoga therapy, Ayurveda consultations, Naturopathy treatments and other preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services, with involvement of ASHAs and other field workers. Financial assistance is provided at a unit cost of Rs 16.22 lakhs per dispensary and Rs 15.744 lakhs per sub‑centre. Quality is monitored through NABH assessment, third‑party reviews and central team visits, which also recommend capacity‑building and referral linkage strengthening.
