Ayurveda Day and Promotion of Preventive Healthcare
The 10th Ayurveda Day was observed on 23 September 2025 under the Ministry of AYUSH, with the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa as the nodal institute. The theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet” linked holistic health to environmental sustainability. The Government has now notified 23 September as the fixed annual date for Ayurveda Day, institutionalising it as a preventive‑health initiative. Activities spanned 32 States and Union Territories and more than 150 countries, encompassing free health camps, disease‑specific camps, seminars, workshops, digital outreach, and environmental actions such as plantation drives. Several projects were launched, including an Integrative Oncology Unit and nationwide health‑status assessment campaigns, coordinated through a Whole‑of‑Government approach and a dedicated microsite.
