PRESIDENT OF INDIA INAUGURATES JAGADGURU KRIPALU UNIVERSITY AT CUTTACK

On 3 August 2026, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Jagadguru Kripalu University in Cuttack, Odisha. In her address she highlighted Odisha’s historic contribution to culture, public service and spirituality, and linked the new institution to the nation’s goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. She urged universities to provide value‑based education, foster research, innovation and entrepreneurship, and to integrate India’s ancient cultural and spiritual traditions with modern knowledge. The President emphasized that India’s young demographic is a key asset and that higher‑education institutions must shape skilled, ethically grounded citizens for societal progress.
