Dr. Jitendra Singh appreciates CVC's sustained reforms in strengthening vigilance ecosystem, says pendency in disciplinary cases brought down sharply through systemic improvements

Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh praised the Central Vigilance Commission’s (CVC) institutional reforms, noting that disciplinary case pendency fell from over 4,000 to about 700 within three to four years. He highlighted the CVC’s technology‑driven initiatives such as the Vigilance Status Portal, revamped Vigilance Case Management System, and an online Complaint Management System, which together aim to digitise clearance proposals, enable real‑time monitoring and streamline complaint handling. The CVC also consolidated over 600 vigilance‑related circulars into nine Master Circulars, two Public Notices and an updated Vigilance Manual, and updated procurement guidelines in collaboration with the Department of Expenditure. These measures are presented as enhancing transparency, accountability and public confidence in governance.
