India to Host the Second BRICS Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting in Hyderabad under Its BRICS Presidency
The Department of Personnel and Training will host the Second BRICS Anti‑Corruption Working Group (ACWG) and the Second Meeting of the BRICS Expert Network on Asset Recovery in Hyderabad on 4–5 August 2026, under India’s BRICS Presidency. Inaugurated by Secretary Rachna Shah, the meeting will bring together BRICS member states, senior policymakers, experts and law‑enforcement representatives to discuss strengthening international cooperation for asset recovery, combating cross‑border corruption, and enhancing transparency. Key agenda items include informal cooperation to trace fugitive offenders, information‑sharing through the Expert Network, and addressing corruption risks linked to FinTech and digital assets. A side event on “Ethical Governance through Innovation and Tech‑Driven Systems” will focus on digital public procurement and citizen‑engagement tools.
