MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF UZBEKISTAN CALLS ON THE PRESIDENT

On 3 August 2026, H.E. Mr Saidov Bakhtiyor Odilovich, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President highlighted historic, cultural and civilizational links and noted the India‑Uzbekistan Business Forum organised on the sidelines of the visit, signalling growing business confidence. She pointed to cooperation prospects in mining (especially rare‑earth minerals), agriculture, pharmaceuticals and information technology. The release also recorded that over 3,000 Uzbek officials, professionals and students have benefited from India’s ITEC training and scholarships, while more than 16,000 Indian students are pursuing higher studies in Uzbekistan, underscoring strong people‑to‑people ties.
