Goa youth join PM's ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Ponda

On 2 August 2026, Goa youth participated in the nationwide launch of the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ organised by MY Bharat, Goa, and PES College of Arts and Science, Farmagudi, Ponda. The event featured a live screening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address, which was delivered via video‑conferencing to over one crore young people from more than 28,000 locations. Around 320 volunteers, NSS members and students pledged to support a drug‑free India and to promote the campaign’s activities—sports, cultural programmes, meditation and awareness drives—over the next 100 Sundays. The Prime Minister urged educational institutions, teachers and professors to engage students in discussions on the harmful effects of substance abuse and to support rehabilitation efforts.
