Empowering SC-led Innovation: How VCF-SC Enabled Thrishanku Technologies to Strengthen India's Defence Electronics Ecosystem
The Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF‑SC), administered by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, provided ₹4.47 crore in equity‑plus‑convertible‑debenture financing to Thrishanku Technologies Private Limited in 2022. The Bengaluru‑based firm set up a state‑of‑the‑art electronics design and manufacturing unit at the KIADB Hi‑Tech Defence & Aerospace Park, producing printed circuit boards, radar systems and EDGE‑AI devices for clients such as L&T, BEL, DRDO labs, ECIL and others. The assistance enabled procurement of advanced machinery, creation of assets worth ₹7 crore, a net worth of ₹3.92 crore, revenue of ₹2.85 crore and profit of about ₹4 lakh, and generated direct employment for 30 professionals (including 8 SC employees).
