‘Worlds Within Cloth: New Orders of Woven Making’ to Open at National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy

The Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, will inaugurate the exhibition “Worlds Within Cloth: New Orders of Woven Making” on 5 August 2026 at Virasat Hall, National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, New Delhi. The show runs for the public from 6 to 19 August 2026 (11 am‑6 pm) as part of the lead‑up to the 12th National Handloom Day on 7 August. Chief Guest Smt Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, will preside over the inauguration. Curated by Sreyansi Singh, the exhibition features contemporary textile artists, designers and craft collectives, highlighting innovative engagements with India’s handloom heritage through research‑driven works, collaborations and installations.
