Text of PM’s speech at the launch of ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ via VC

Prime Minister’s Office released the text of the Prime Minister’s speech launching the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ via video conference on 2 August 2026. The PM highlighted the pilot project that began in Kashi last year, the participation of more than 125 spiritual organisations, NGOs and a crore‑plus youth from over 28 000 locations, and the rollout of the movement nationwide. He announced a 100‑week programme of weekly activities covering art, culture, sports, meditation, spirituality and service, and urged colleges, universities and families to spread drug‑free messages. The speech also cited increased enforcement against drug traffickers, with higher arrests and seizures, and called for collective effort to protect youth and achieve the ‘Developed India’ vision.
