Coal Production in the Country Grows 7.51% YoY in July, 2026

In July 2026, India’s coal production rose to 69.75 MT (provisional), a 7.51 % increase over July 2025’s 64.88 MT. Coal dispatch grew to 86.33 MT, up 17.34 % YoY. Cumulative production up to July 2026‑27 reached 302.24 MT, while cumulative dispatch was 354.70 MT, marking a 5.87 % rise over the same period last financial year. Coal India Limited (CIL) contributed 50.35 MT to July’s production (8.42 % growth) and dispatched 63.67 MT (17.43 % growth); its cumulative dispatch grew 6.81 % YoY.
