Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurates the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre - Viveka Smaraka at Mysuru, Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka – in Mysuru, Karnataka, offering obeisance to Goddess Chamundeshwari. He linked the centre’s launch to the legacy of Swami Vivekananda, the Ramakrishna Mission and local scholars, and highlighted the role of youth in driving India’s economic growth, AI, deep‑tech and space achievements. The Prime Minister cited government initiatives such as the establishment of over 650 new universities, 14,000 colleges, 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs, 14,000 PM‑SHRI schools and the expansion of medical seats to 1,40,000, as well as the promotion of sports through Khelo India and the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign. He urged youth to embody Vivekananda’s vision through service, education and environmental stewardship.
