NIFT Mumbai begins academic session with interactive three-day orientation programme

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai held a three‑day Orientation Programme (29‑31 July 2026) for 328 incoming students and their parents. The programme introduced the institute’s academic framework, campus resources, and support systems, and included sessions on gender sensitivity, anti‑ragging, sustainability, artificial intelligence and innovation. Alumni from diverse fashion‑related fields shared their career experiences, highlighting industry linkages and entrepreneurship. The final day, termed “Gen‑Z Day,” emphasized technology‑driven, environmentally responsible leadership through activities such as creative wellness sessions and challenges on handloom heritage, sustainability and digital well‑being.
