NHAI Successfully Launches Multi-Lane Free Flow Tolling System at Shahjahanpur Toll Plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur Section of NH-48

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling system at Shahjahanpur Toll Plaza on the Delhi‑Jaipur stretch of NH‑48 in Rajasthan. This is the third toll plaza on the corridor to adopt MLFF, enabling vehicles to pass without stopping by integrating Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) with FASTag-based electronic toll collection. The system aims to provide barrier‑free travel, reduce waiting time, improve fuel efficiency and lower vehicular emissions, while enhancing transparency and lowering operational costs. Users must maintain sufficient FASTag balance; otherwise, they receive an e‑notice and may incur double fees after 72 hours.
