Indian Railways Recommends Premature Retirement of Five Group 'A' Officers

The Review Committees of the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways have recommended premature retirement of five Group ‘A’ officers—two SAG officers of IRHS, one JAG officer of IRSE (Northern Railway), one officer of IRSEE (Northern Railway), and one JAG officer of IRTS (Western Railway)—in public interest under Rule 1802(a) of the Indian Railway Establishment Code, Volume II (equivalent to Rule 56(j) of the Fundamental Rules). The committees assessed service records, including APARs, integrity records, vigilance inputs and disciplinary history, before unanimously recommending the retirements. The action aligns with Indian Railways’ stated zero‑tolerance policy towards corruption, lack of integrity and inefficiency, emphasizing accountability in public service.
