Union Ayush Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav Recommends Arjuna Award for Mirabai Chanu

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, wrote to Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya urging that weightlifter Mirabai Chanu be considered for the Arjuna Award in 2026. The letter highlighted her gold medals at successive Commonwealth Games, record lifts in the 48 kg category, and prior honors including the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award and Padma Shri. Jadhav noted that receiving the Arjuna Award would recognize her outstanding performances and inspire youth.
