e-Courts Mission Mode Project is being implemented in a phased manner across the country with objective of strengthening use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the judicial system

The e‑Courts Mission Mode Project, under the Ministry of Law and Justice, is being rolled out in phases nationwide to strengthen ICT use in the judicial system. As of 30 June 2026, e‑Filing rules are in force in 25 High Courts, and a total of 1.25 crore cases have been filed through the e‑Filing platform across High Courts and District Courts. The project includes initiatives such as CIS 4.0, e‑Payments, Video Conferencing, Virtual Courts, NJDG, ICJS, eSewa Kendras, the eCourts Services Portal and Mobile App. Training programmes, SOPs, FAQs and eSewa Kendras have been deployed to promote adoption among judges, court staff, advocates and litigants.
