Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam paying tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh

On 31 July 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to revolutionary martyr Udham Singh on his Balidan Diwas. He highlighted the martyr’s courage and said his story will inspire future generations to protect the motherland’s honour. The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam – “न जातु शौर्यं पुरुषस्य भानुरस्तं गतो भवति कदापि शश्वत्। यथा पुनस्तपति दिवाकरोऽयं तथा पुनर्विक्रमते स वीरः॥” – interpreting it as the sun of valor never permanently setting and a brave man overcoming adversity. He posted the tribute on X (Twitter).
