PM to visit Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on 1 August
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on 1 August 2026. In Andhra Pradesh he will walk‑through and inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram (a PPP‑funded greenfield airport costing over ₹5,640 crore and designed for 6 million passengers annually) and lay the foundation stone for the state’s first semiconductor manufacturing facility (ASIP project, investment ₹460 crore) as well as multiple transmission projects for the Kurnool renewable‑energy zones (total investment ≈₹9,920 crore). He will also dedicate and lay foundation stones for national‑highway projects worth ₹1,880 crore. In Karnataka he will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka in Mysuru, a 81,000 sq ft facility aimed at value‑based education for over 10,000 students. The combined projects total over ₹17,900 crore and are presented as drivers of regional connectivity, clean‑energy integration, industrial growth and youth development.
