Ministry of Tourism highlights tourism infrastructure projects sanctioned in Maharashtra

The Ministry of Tourism disclosed that, under its schemes – Swadesh Darshan (SD), Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD 2.0), Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD), Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) and Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) – several tourism infrastructure projects have been sanctioned in Maharashtra. The projects include the development of the Sindhudurg Coastal Circuit (₹19.06 cr sanctioned, ₹17.61 cr authorised), Waki‑Adasa‑Dhapewada‑Paradsingha‑Telankhandi‑Girad (₹45.47 cr/₹43.19 cr), Shivsrushti Theme Park (₹75.47 cr/₹37.74 cr), Ahmednagar Fort (₹25.00 cr/₹2.50 cr), Trimbakeshwar (₹45.41 cr/₹38.44 cr), RAM‑KAL PATH in Nashik (₹99.14 cr/₹65.43 cr) and INS‑Guldar Underwater Museum (₹46.91 cr/₹30.96 cr). The Ministry provides financial assistance to states/UTs, monitors progress through review meetings and site visits, and aims to promote tourism sustainably while generating employment and strengthening local economies.
