Government Strengthens Cyber Resilience Against AI-Enabled Cyber Threats through AI-Driven Detection, Vulnerability Assessment and Threat Intelligence

The Ministry of Electronics & IT reports that CERT‑In has deployed AI‑driven situational awareness systems to detect malicious domains and phishing, extended AI‑enabled vulnerability assessment for public‑facing assets, and operates an automated cyber‑threat intelligence exchange platform. It conducted 10 AI‑focused cyber‑security exercises in June‑July 2026 with 1,470 participants from 345 government and private organisations across sectors such as Power, Telecom, BFSI, Transport, Education, Health and Space. CERT‑In also launched the Certified Security Professional in Artificial Intelligence (CSPAI) programme (Sept 2024) and issued multiple advisories and guidelines in 2023‑2026 to mitigate AI‑enabled cyber threats.
