TDB-DST supports M/s Sonic Biochem Extractions Pvt. Ltd., Indore, for Commercialization of Indigenous Functional and Textured Soya Protein Concentrates

The Technology Development Board (TDB) of the Department of Science & Technology has approved financial assistance to M/s Sonic Biochem Extractions Pvt. Ltd., Indore for the project “Development & Commercialisation of Functional and Textured Soya Protein Concentrate(s).” The support will enable the company to set up a commercial‑scale plant to produce Functional Soya Protein Concentrate (FSPC) and Textured Soya Protein Concentrate (TSPC) using its indigenous, non‑GMO soy‑based technology, thereby reducing reliance on imported soy protein isolate. The initiative aims to create a domestic value chain, lower production costs, generate export opportunities and contribute to foreign‑exchange savings, aligning with the Government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.
