Implementation of PM SHRI scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) is a centrally‑sponsored scheme under the Ministry of Education aimed at strengthening more than 14,500 schools. To date, 13,092 schools across States/UTs, KVS, NVS and NCERT have been selected as PM SHRI schools, showcasing the initiatives of the National Education Policy 2020. The scheme runs from 2022‑23 to 2026‑27, with fund allocation beginning in FY 2023‑24 and yearly releases detailed in an annexure. States/UTs sign MoUs with the Centre and schools are chosen through a Challenge Mode. The curriculum follows the 5+3+3+4 structure under NCF/SCF, with flexibility for state‑specific contextualisation. Kerala signed its MoU on 23 Oct 2025.
