Department of Telecommunications and Government of Madhya Pradesh to Sign MoU for the Establishment of India's First Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) at Gwalior

The Department of Telecommunications and the Government of Madhya Pradesh will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on 30 July 2026 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, to establish India’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) – Phase‑I – in Gwalior. The ceremony will be attended by Union Minister for Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and Minister of State for Communications Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani. The initiative seeks to build a world‑class ecosystem for telecom equipment and allied technologies, attract investment, foster indigenous design, generate employment, strengthen supply‑chain resilience and position India as a global hub for telecom manufacturing.
