India’s textile and apparel exports rose to ₹3,25,339 crore in 2025‑26, a 1.8 % increase over the previous year, with growth recorded in over 100 countries. The government has extended key schemes such as the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products and the RoSCTL scheme up to 30 September 2026, and introduced temporary customs duty exemptions on cotton and man‑made fibre inputs for 2026. A focused export‑promotion strategy targets 40 priority countries, backed by 16 FTAs (including CETA) and concluded negotiations with the EU and New Zealand. To boost competitiveness, six Textile Export Facilitation Centres, the India Immersive Experience Programme, and events like the Textiles Summit and Bharat Tex (July 2026) have been launched, supporting MSMEs and supply‑chain resilience.
